Ordinances & Resolutions

An ordinance is a local law adopted by a municipality. It establishes the rules for the operation of the local government or provides rules and regulations governing public activity in the community. An ordinance stays on the books until it is amended or repealed by another ordinance enacted by a later board.
A resolution is an official statement of the will of the governing body.
